As an Accounting Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in managing financial operations for our client's licensed payment services entity in the UK. Reporting to the Group Controller and collaborating closely with the UK Managing Director, you'll lead initiatives to establish robust processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement. This is a dynamic fast paced role where you will wear many hats across the business, engaging with senior stakeholders and driving the financial teams performance. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Forge strong relationships with regulatory authorities, ensuring compliance at all levels.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Oversee external advisors and collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless integration of new initiatives.
  • Research and consult on complex accounting and tax issues, providing valuable insights.
  • Prepare financial statements and regulatory reports, serving as a key representative of the Finance department.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years' experience in relevant fields, preferably with regulated entities and B2B/SaaS businesses.
  • Autonomous worker with a hands-on mindset and bias for action.
  • Deep analytical rigor and proficiency in Excel and Business Intelligence tools.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills, with proficiency in English.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a proactive approach to change.
