Our client, a specialist private markets alternatives Manager, is looking for an experienced real-estate funds accountant to join their growing real estate middle office team here in London. The role supports a critical relationship between Front and Middle Office teams.
Role:
• Accounting and operational functions to support the Firm’s growing UK real estate strategy
• Assist Front Office by providing review/analysis of fund management accounts (P/L & Balance Sheet) and calculating the Net Asset Value (NAV) of funds
• Support and advise on complex accounting treatment for UK real estate transactions and fund lifecycle events
Additional Responsibilities:
• Assist with, and deputise for Manager, financial reporting and accounting relating to UK real estate strategy including support for the year end audit
• Regulatory reporting
• Third party service provider oversight
• Process improvement, implementation and continued development of governance controls and frameworks
• Attend pricing committee meetings and present proposed valuations
Essential and Desired experience:
• Strong academic background – BA/BSc minimum (STEM preferred)
• ACCA/ACA with a minimum 2 years’ PQE in the fund management space
• Experience of technical accounting and valuation techniques for Residential real estate - mandatory
