Gresham Hunt is working with a fast growth, scale up technology platform, who are looking for a German and English speaking Compliance & Risk Manager to ensure that the company complies with all legal standards and internal guidelines.

The business has doubled in headcount last year and expects to do the same this year after securing series A funding. The goal of this role is to maintain the integrity of the company by ensuring it stays on a lawful and ethical course while avoiding risk.

The person:

  • Strong academic background with experience in Audit, Risk or Compliance
  • Good understanding of a SaaS business model
  • Fluent command of English and German
  • Strong customer orientation, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with team members and non-team members to support a client base with multiple locations around the world

The Role:

  • Supporting the compliance team in keeping up to date with legal developments as well as implementing best practices in the area of risk management.
  • Carrying out risk assessments, developing new and improving existing company policies and other documentation, taking into account legal and other requirements.
  • Support in the creation of, for example, compliance and risk reports for management.
  • Keeping the documentation of compliance activities, such as analysing legal and other gaps, including follow-up actions.
  • Assessing business operations by analysing business processes to identify compliance and other risks.
  • Preparation of training materials for compliance and risk management purposes.
  • Regular review of procedures, reports, etc. to identify hidden risks or non-compliance issues
  • Working with our legal and Human Resources departments to oversee the enforcement of standards and regulations
  • Quick learner, keen attention to detail and the ability to complete time-sensitive tasks with a high level of quality and accuracy
  • Strong customer orientation, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with team members and non-team members to support a client base with multiple locations around the world
