Since graduating from Cambridge, Octavian has spent a decade amassing a wealth of experience consulting in the UK, USA, LATAM, the EU, MENA and Hong Kong. In that time, he has worked across multiple economic sectors and has supported 7 Heads of Government/State, their Cabinets, and Private Sector counterparts as well as launching major industry forums like London Fintech and Blockchain Weeks. Having moved back from Sierra Leone in 2019, he built a comprehensive Operations, Middle Office and Risk function at his previous boutique recruitment business, before joining Gresham Hunt to open the Operations, Middle Office & Strategic Hires offering. He brings with him an extensive track record across not just the buy-side (with alternative investment businesses), but also with key sell-side and fintech clients.
Volatile markets not-withstanding, by taking a client-first approach, Octavian has executed mandates from CFO & COO to strategic change and business management functions at both household and boutique names in the UK, US and Hong Kong. Highlights include new team and function builds at respected global macro and multi-strategy hedge funds and first-time CFOs and COOs in the Digital Venture Capital space.
Octavian spends most evenings rehearsing his latest theatrical production or cooking for friends and family whilst juggling an intermittent gym routine.
