Job Summary:
As the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of a private equity-backed multi-site behavioural health business with $150 million in revenue, your primary responsibility will be to provide strategic leadership and operational expertise to drive the company's growth and profitability. You will play a pivotal role in achieving the exit plan within the next 3 years while maintaining and enhancing the company's position in the behavioural health sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a clear and ambitious growth strategy aligned with the company's mission, vision, and the expectations of private equity stakeholders.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple sites, ensuring efficient and compliant delivery of behavioral health services.
- Financial Management: Manage the company's financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis, to meet or exceed revenue and profitability targets.
- Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing executive team, providing guidance and mentorship to drive individual and collective success.
- Stakeholder Relations: Establish and maintain strong relationships with private equity partners, investors, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for the exit plan.
- Mergers and Acquisitions: Identify and evaluate strategic acquisition opportunities that can enhance the company's market position and profitability.
- Compliance and Regulatory Affairs: Ensure the company's operations adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards within the behavioral health sector.
- Market Analysis: Stay current with industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities, and adjust the company's strategy accordingly.
- Exit Strategy Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive plan to achieve the exit strategy within the specified timeline, whether through an IPO, merger, acquisition, or other strategic options.
- Proven track record of successful leadership in multi-site healthcare or behavioural health businesses, preferably within private equity-backed environments.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing large budgets and P&L responsibility.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, both internally and externally.
- A deep understanding of the behavioural health sector and its regulatory environment.
- Experience in mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and integration.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with a focus on results.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
