Head of Platform Technology requires a flexible approach to driving the right outcomes in collaboration with the platform owner, enterprise architect, development teams, and federated teams.
Successful candidates must demonstrate technical abilities and expertise in consultative leadership, business strategy, and governance. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining a view of the existing platform, driving the DevOps team, advising on coding standards and upgrades, and ensuring that solutions align with business outcomes while making use of Out of the Box (OOTB) functionality.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Leading the definition, design, and build of solutions
- Working within enterprise transformation programs to build complementary solutions
- Articulating solutions to Product Owners and SMEs, identifying key enablers to enhance the platform
- Supervising technical debt
- Managing diverse teams.
- Utilise standard methodology architecture and development principles and apply them to how solutions are built.
- Lead the development of innovative market solution offerings based on the platform
- Define and maintain technical governance, principles, standards, and policies, and support the delivery capability
Professional experience for this role includes:
- Experience in delivering large-scale technology transformation projects, including ServiceNow specific projects
- Solid understanding of the IT infrastructure and its communication with ServiceNow
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging, and varied environment
- Knowledge of Scrum (Agile) development process, and understanding of Architectural frameworks such as TOGAF 9+ and IT4IT.
- Certified ITIL v4 Foundation or higher certifications, ServiceNow Certified System Administrator, and ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist are also required
