Gresham Hunt's client is seeking a treasury analysts to join their London based treasury function. This Capital Management business requires you to be in the office 4 days per week.


Purpose:              Supporting the Treasury function with general day to day activities, with an emphasis on liquidity.

The company:

A London based, mixed arbitrage private hedge fund manager that trades across a number of products and geographic locations. The business require you to be in the office 4 days/week.

 

Background to the Treasury Department:

Working within a team of 8 in the centralised London Treasury team, focusing on liquidity, collateral management and trades. There is a great opportunity to develop your career within a intergrated finance function.  

The role:

The Treasury team works to optimise fund assets and employ excess cash in the most efficient manner. This role is ideal for those who want to build a holistic view of financial institutions and develop their understanding of a wide range of trading strategies.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily funding of the firm’s cash-flow obligations across all currencies.
  • Ensuring risk flat hedging of the firm’s central book.
  • Optimisation of the firm’s excess cash via FX, money markets and PB overfunding.
  • Working with senior managers to produce funding analytics and identify opportunities to improve asset utilisation.
  • Detailed reporting of the funds’ free cash, asset allocation and the capital requirements of different trading strategies.
  • Managing external relationships across several money market fund providers.
  • Reconciliation of the firm’s cash balances.
  • Engagement in firm wide projects, working extensively with operations and technology.

Desired skills:

  • Relevant experience working within a financial institution, with a knowledge of financial products.
  • Relevant qualifications (CFA, ACT)
  • Ambitious, self-motivated and keen to learn. Engagement in further learning a plus.
  • Positive attitude to a dynamic, changing environment. Ability to take the initiative when presented with new situations and identify business risks.
  • Solid organisational skills, capacity to deal with tight deadlines and promptly address ad hoc requests.
  • Strong communication skills, confident working directly with individuals at all levels of the organisation.
  • Collegiate/Team player essential.
