Gresham Hunt are currently working with a leading financial services organisation as they search for a Business Analyst to join their expanding Derivatives Operations team in Paris.
ROLE SUMMARY
- Involved in various projects and initiatives (Global, Regional & Local), within the Middle Office Derivatives area
- Interface with teams across all functional departments to ensure target operating processes are executed, actions are aligned and are defined for the team
- Give input and direction to lead meetings with stakeholders from various levels of seniority
- Have a “can do mentality” and be able to provide innovative solutions
- Generate ideas and propose improvement strategies
- Be able to build rapport and long-term relationships key internal and external stakeholders
- Be proactive by managing problems or conflicts that arise with stakeholders
- Provide regular updates to the team on the progress of projects and initiatives
- Be able to prioritise and organise all projects that are being worked on whilst still being able to meet deadlines set
YOUR BACKGROUND
- At least 10 years of experience as Business Analyst or have experience in projects related to Derivatives (OTC, listed derivatives, Collateral Management
- Asset Management industry background
- Middle Office experience is a bonus
- Knowledge of OTC, listed derivatives & Collateral management
- Understand full trade life cycle as well as having acute awareness of processes in middle and back-office and front office links
- Regulatory knowledge on EMIR, SFTR is useful to have
- Analytical and & problem-solving mindset
- Ability to be flexible, negotiate, resolve conflicts and challenge status quo
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. German is a plus
- Positive, self-motivated and a team player
- Possibility to travel to Frankfurt and London on a non-regular basis
- Digitalization experience, VBA and knowledge of Bloomberg is a plus
