On behalf of our client, a fast-growing multi-site healthcare group headquartered in Dublin, we are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Financial Accountant to join their expanding finance team.
With current revenues of ~€20 million and aggressive growth plans to reach €100 million over the next three years, this is a rare opportunity to join a high-impact organisation at a pivotal stage of its scale-up journey.
This position offers broad exposure, reporting directly to the Financial Controller and contributing to strategic initiatives, financial operations, and the implementation of scalable finance structures. You’ll demonstrate ownership of core accounting cycles, drive improvements to month-end, and help scale systems and controls to support the Group’s continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Control
- Assist in preparation of the monthly management accounts for multiple entities and with group consolidation, playing a key role in the month-end close process, including journals and reconciliations.
- Ensure full compliance with Irish GAAP, tax regulations, and audit requirements.
- Support annual audit processes and liaise with external auditors.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis
- Assist in preparing annual budgets, cash flow projections, and ongoing financial forecasts.
- Deliver variance analysis with actionable insights to support business performance.
- Help build scalable financial models to support growth and investment planning.
Operational Finance
- Oversee transactional finance processes including AP, AR, and bank reconciliations.
- Support payroll review and monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Engage directly with operations managers to ensure site-level financial discipline.
- Help design and embed new processes, controls, and policies fit for scale.
- Assist in standardising and automating recurring finance tasks using appropriate/available tools
Controls & Compliance
- Develop and implement effective financial controls and policies across the business.
- Assist in regulatory and industry-specific compliance affecting financial operations.
Projects & Strategic Growth
- Involvement in strategic finance projects such as acquisitions, new site launches, and systems improvements.
- Provide financial support on M&A activity, including modelling and integration support.
Candidate Profile
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
- 1–3 years’ PQE in a similar financial accountant or management accounting role.
- Prior experience in a multi-site, healthcare, retail, or growth-focused environment is desirable.
- Technically proficient with a solid grounding in Irish financial reporting standards.
- Strong Excel skills and familiarity with modern accounting platforms (e.g., NetSuite, Xero, Sage, or similar).
- Proactive, adaptable, and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
- Demonstrates a high ownership mindset, and likes to get things done while maintaining accuracy
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
