Gresham Hunt are excited to partner with a unique Investment company that offers a diversified range of active investment strategies across four main pillars: equities, fixed income, multi asset and private markets in their search for Legal Counsel (US)
Legal counsel will be working with the Head of US Legal and the legal team to provide legal support across the full spectrum of Company's growing private markets platform.
Responsibilities:
- Managing internal business relationships and being in contact with various internal business clients
- Managing legal processes as well as documentation such as investment guidelines and different agreements.
- Assisting in fund set up
- Negotiating as well as managing external legal budgets.
Qualifications
- Licensed US attorney, with 2-5 of experience within a law firm or at a leading financial services/investment management organization.
- Experience with asset management, contract review and negotiation with respect to private funds, private fund structuring and implementation
- Extensive knowledge in Investment Advisers Act and US federal securities laws, ERISA and public pension plans
